Trucker Charity Inc, would like to thank all our loyal supporters. We really can not do what we do with out you. While we appreciate your support. We need more of it. Financial, volunteer and networking.
We work very hard to make a pennie do the work of a dime. We need alot of dimes. A few months ago we sent suggestions in the form of slide shows to some of the larger truck stops. Suggesting how they can help. One of the ways we suggested was to offer letting drivers donate via there kiosks frequent fueler points they may not be using or would like to donate to Trucker Charity Inc, Truckers Fund (St. Christophers) and Operation Rodger. While this to some may seem like an odd method to donate. We fine its been asked for and would cost the truck stops very little in servicing. We try to be leaders in fund raising. We do not want to encroach on other fund raising methods used by other charities. We have yet to hear any good comments from the chains. Yet, we do feel this is an option to consider and ask for feed back on this to be thought about and directed to the chains.
We have a very hard time paying for food for drivers waiting for bus tickets or in hotels as many truck stops will not take our credit card over the phone. Fleet One looks to be stepping up to help us with this and we so thank them. The points donation method would help so much as well. We really need this to happen and need the truckers help.
Some folks have been talking about happenings in charitys in the trucking industry. While there may be changes going on and such. Its normal, everything changes. Even we here at Trucker Charity Inc have had change. We had our annual meeting at MATS. Kerry Mullins was voted in as the new Secretary. The Christmas Group was formalized as part of Trucker Charity Inc. Eldon Mcfarling is the Chair person for the Christmas group appointed by the board. We seek help to make this the best year yet for the the Christmas Group. We also took an oath to not except government grants. The board feels its our job as drivers to take care of our industry.
This leads to our name. Trucker Charity Inc, we are Truckers Helping Truckers. This is Your Charity as an driver. Its not my charity, not his charity. Its your charity. All our board members are voted in and we encourage volunteers to be active. We have our annual meetings at Mid America Truck Show and will be voting on two new members this coming year. All are encouraged to participate. More on this process will be provided.

We also have a request in to Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association to allow for Trucker Charity Inc to offer a link on our web site for a discounted member ship. OOIDA has been a great source at referring drivers needing a hand up to us and we appreciate there support.
If you happen to work for a company that offers a giving program. We really want to know about it. Please check with your company. Ask them if they donate or have a giving program. Many of them do that drivers do not take advantage of. If all they give you is a link. We will research it and see if it meets our guidelines. Just email the link to email@example.com
