5 more home.

The last two weeks have been trying.
We have 5 in the transportation field that were helped.
A husband wife team that were stranded as the tow truck took their company truck away. There boss seemed to forget to pay the bills. No last pay check. We did our best and got them on a bus home with leads to decent jobs. One more good job done!
Kathi and Chris a driver and a wife rider that were let go for refusing to pull a red tagged trailer from a scale. They were left on the spot. Chris did the right thing and refused to pull the trailer from a scale that red tagged it. Once it was repaired he returned to the company to be fired. He did take pictures of the qual com telling him to pull it away even though it was red tagged. He also took pictured saying you do this now of you will be fired! He did return the equipment after it had been repaired. A 20 year veteran. He was fired on the spot. No last pay check. No bus ticket home. We got them home. Took a bit, as we are broke, broke, broke.
Kimberly Longhurst, her husband is having some medical issues. We refereed them to Truckers Fund. Her calls had not been called back last we were told. She is needing to stay cool! We provided $100.00 in fuel money. We do not do medical, yet we can not let this women suffer. Sue Weis from Operation Rodger drove her truck to the yard to have the qual com removed. This way she can get the deposit back for it. Yet, that will take time to "mail" out. Her husband is still in the hospital. She is now out of fuel again and I have no clue what we will do as we are broke.
Karen Rogers called to let us know that her son will be buried July 24, 2010. Rick was a great guy and a true friend to all. It the last call I wanted, yet I knew it was coming. I will write it up as to the exact location and time for all that would like to attend.
